Door Hardware Guide
Ellis Works door hardware is thoughtfully designed for standard interior doors and are sold as a complete back-to-back set, providing everything needed for a fully functioning handle suite.
Door hardware sets are available for both tubular and mortise doors.
Choose tubular hardware if your door already has a round hole drilled through it for a handle. This is the most common setup in modern homes.
Choose mortise hardware if your door is solid and un-drilled, or if you’re replacing existing mortise hardware with a rectangular pocket cut into the edge of the door.

Tubular Door Sets
Our tubular hardware sets are supplied standard for 1-3/8”, pre-bored doors featuring a 2-1/8” diameter bore hole. These sets use a 2-3/8” backset, meaning the center of the handle is positioned 2-3/8” from the edge of the door. Rose passage door sets are ideal for interior doors that don't require locking — such as hallways, closets, kitchens, and living spaces — providing smooth operation and a cohesive, finished appearance.
Rose - Privacy
Rose privacy door sets are designed for interior spaces that require occasional privacy — such as bedrooms and bathrooms — featuring an integrated pin lock that can be unlocked from the outside in an emergency.
Rose - Dummy
Rose dummy door sets are non-operable trim designed for doors that do not latch — such as closets, pantries, or decorative double doors — providing a finished appearance and a comfortable pull for opening and closing.
Escutcheon - Passage
Escutcheon passage door sets are ideal for interior doors that don't require locking — such as hallways, closets, kitchens, and living spaces — providing smooth operation and a cohesive, finished appearance.
Escutcheon - Privacy

Mortise Door Sets
Our mortise hardware sets are ideal for doors that have not yet been prepped. They are supplied standard for 1-3/4” thick doors and feature a 2-1/2” backset. To ensure proper fit and performance, we recommend a minimum stile width of 4” to accommodate the depth of the mortise mechanism.
